Measuring Guidelines
Measuring your wrist is very important for ensuring a proper fitting bracelet. Use a cloth measuring tape to measure your wrist (or wrap a piece of yarn around your wrist, then measure the yarn with a ruler). For adults, add 1 inch to the measurement to obtain your size. For children, add 1/2 inch to the measurement to obtain the size.
ie. If adult wrist measurement is 6.75 inches, then choose size 7.75 inches. If child wrist measurement is 5 inches, then choose size 5.5 inches.
How to Care for your Jewelry
Storing your stering silver in the open air and humidity for extended periods of time can cause it to tarnish quickly. Tarnish appears as golden hue on your sterling silver then turns to black. This is a normal process caused by oxidation, moisture from air and sunlight. To keep tarnish to a minimum, store your jewellery when you are not wearing it. Keep your bracelet in a sealed ziploc bag (such as the one that is provided with your purchase) away from sunlight (jewelry box is ideal).
Cleaning Your Silver
Please use a soft 100% cotton cloth/flannel cloth and GENTLY rub your sterling. You can also use a very soft bristle brush such as a baby's toothbrush to polish. Store bought silver polish should not be needed to clean tarnish, and may even remove oxidation from your letter beads and Bali beads. Chemical polishes may even damage the other semi-precious stones of your bracelet, so if you do use, proceed with CAUTION. With proper care and storage, your jewelry should look beautiful for years to come.
Other Common Sense Tips
Please refrain from wearing your bracelet in water such as when swimming or bathing. It is also ideal to remove your bracelet when you will be sweating during exercise. ALWAYS watch very young children closely when wearing jewelry. Our bracelets are well crafted, however there is always a risk of choking on any item containing small parts or beads.
Here are some symbol ideas for the pendants. I do accommodate custom designs. If you have somethings specific in mind please email me your picture in bitmap form to see if it would translate well onto a pendant. Some complex designs do not work well on small pendants. Unfortunately, I can't do photographs:
